<\/strong><\/em><\/span>Anne-Marie Qu\u00e9m\u00e9ner, SPACE Exhibition Manage<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\nWELCOME<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n With 1230 exhibitors from 40 countries, the 39th<\/sup> edition of SPACE promises yet again to be a key event for agricultural stakeholders. Held in North-western France, the no.1 region for farming in the country. the exhibition owes its success to the performance of its ecosystem, favourable weather, and the acclaimed know-how of its farmers. We would like to thank all of the exhibitors for their loyalty and their unyielding commitment, which have allowed SPACE to shine its light far beyond our borders. The forecast presence of visitors from over 120 countries is a testament to this commitment, with African delegations being particularly well-represented. Senegal is a perfect example of this propulsion onto the international stage, with the participation of their Minister of Agriculture. We’d also like to acknowledge the farmers who have allowed us to maintain our competitions and showcases, despite the troubling situation regarding animal health, with only half of the usual participations. Our thoughts are with those who are unfortunately unable to participate. in a context marked by tense global markets, the question of food sovereignty has resurfaced across the food and agriculture sectors. SPACE strives to lend its voice, relay the political messages shared by these sectors, and defend the common interests of the entire profession. As a place where discussions and innovations abound. SPACE is celebrating the 30″h anniversary of its Innov’Space competition this year. Over 3,500 applications have been submitted since its creation, leading to some 1,480 awards and serving as proof of the vitality of the innovations proffered in service of agriculture. Innovation will also be the focus on this edition’s central theme, for which the name “artificial intelligence” has been updated to “agricultural intelligence”. Developed with L’Espace pour Demain (Space for Tomorrow), this theme will allow farmers to discover real-world applications and learn more about how these new technologies can be integrated into their everyday tasks.
