Jordan suspends live sheep exports during Ramadan
The Ministry of Agriculture announced a decision to suspend the export of live sheep to neighboring countries in order to secure the local market’s needs for red meat, maintain price stability, and ensure sufficient supply for citizens during the holy month of Ramadan.
In the same context, the Ministry clarified that new import sources have been opened for live animals, including sheep and calves. It also approved new slaughterhouses for importing meat in various forms from accredited origins that meet health and veterinary standards.
