
Saudi Arabia: Producing Over 2.7 Million Liters of Dairy Daily to Meet Local Market Needs and Strengthen Food Security During Ramadan
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture emphasized the importance of consuming dairy products and their derivatives during the holy month, highlighting their high nutritional value and premium quality. The ministry also noted their pivotal role in supporting agricultural development and strengthening food supply chains, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
As part of its awareness campaign launched during Ramadan under the slogan โGoodness of Our Land,โ the ministry explained that dairy products and their derivatives are among the key outputs of the agricultural sector. Daily production exceeds 2,750,000 liters, meeting consumer demand and contributing to enhanced food security in the Kingdom.
The ministry added that national dairy products are distinguished by their diversity and quality, including fresh milk, cream, yogurt, butter, and various types of cheese. These products are essential components of many dietary patterns, especially during Ramadan.
The ministry called on all consumers to choose locally produced dairy products during the holy month, citing their high nutritional value and trusted quality. It also stressed the importance of supporting local products, as this contributes to empowering livestock breeders and producers, strengthening the national economy, and achieving sustainable agricultural development.
