Jordan: Acolid Marks 40 Years as Indian River Distributor in Jordan

Aviagen® Türkiye, Middle East & Africa (TMEA) is celebrating 40 years of collaboration with Acolid, recognizing its role in representing the Indian River® breed in Jordan and contributing to the development of the country’s poultry sector.

Acolid’s Grandparent (GP) project in Jordan plays an important role in supporting poultry production through the supply of high-quality parent stock (PS) chicks.
Established in 1974 within the framework of the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States, Acolid was created within the broader objective of developing livestock production and contributing to food security across the region.

Since beginning operations in 1977, the company has established and managed 38 projects and investments across 11 countries. Its activities span poultry, red meat, dairy and feed production, alongside the transfer of modern technologies and provision of technical and economic expertise.
The GP project forms an important part of this regional network and has developed into a key operation for the production and distribution of PS chicks.

Building on the resilience, adaptability, and consistent performance of the Indian River breed, Acolid and Aviagen strengthen their relationship through knowledge exchange and customer support. Aviagen specialists regularly work alongside the Acolid team, providing support and sharing the latest developments in poultry breeding and management. Acolid team members also participate in structured training programs designed to strengthen expertise and help maximize the genetic potential of the Indian River breed.
