Second Edition of Petra Livestock Expo wraps up with remarkable achievement

The Second Petra Livestock Expo 2024 concluded on the evening of Saturday, September 7, in Amman, drawing significant participation from both local and international attendees.
The exhibition attracted over 3 days extensive engagement between participants and visitors, with attendance exceeding 8,000. Engineer Ali Abu Nuqta, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee and head of the Jordanian Agriculture Engineers Association, remarked, “The success and significance of this exhibition will pave the way for future partnerships and collaborations.” He further emphasized that the event, inaugurated under the patronage of the Prime Minister, hosted more than 250 brands and companies specializing in the livestock sector, with participation from 35 countries worldwide.
Eng. Abu Nuqta also noted that the Petra Livestock Expo 2024 was designed to advance technological innovations in the livestock sector, offering a platform to showcase cutting-edge tools and equipment from global companies and highlight exemplary practices in the industry. A comprehensive scientific program accompanied the event, featuring over 20 interactive lectures and training sessions in collaboration with international universities and research centers.
He added that this biennial exhibition serves as a key gathering for professionals in the livestock industry and aims to position Jordan as a promising global investment hub for livestock, a sector recognized as essential to modern food security worldwide.
Engineer Mohamed Sawalmeh, President of the Arab Association for Animal Science, highlighted that the second edition saw a 30% increase in participation from global and regional companies compared to its predecessor, underscoring the exhibition’s growing prestige and the confidence it inspires for future editions.
Eng. Sawalmeh also mentioned the successful signing of numerous cooperation agreements, partnership contracts, and commercial deals between participating companies. Additionally, the first Jordanian Beekeeping Forum took place during the exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Jordanian Beekeepers Syndicate and featuring a specialized scientific program with contributions from scientists, experts, and researchers from various countries.
Participants praised the organizational efforts of the Jordanian Engineers Association, which collaborated with the Arab Association for Animal Science, for their outstanding work in positioning the Petra Livestock Exhibition as a leading event for investments in the livestock sector. Attendees highlighted the remarkable turnout of visitors, manufacturers, and brands from Jordan, the Arab world, and beyond, eager to explore the diverse services and products on offer.
Both participants and visitors expressed their enthusiasm for the third edition of the exhibition, stressing the importance of its continuity due to its vital role in marketing products, providing investment opportunities, establishing commercial ties with Arab and international companies, and facilitating business meetings within and beyond the exhibition space. Moreover, the event effectively connected participants with specialized companies involved in the import and marketing of livestock products.
In a warm and celebratory atmosphere, the Jordanian Agriculture Engineers Association Chairman, members of the council, and the President of the Arab Association for Animal Science concluded the exhibition by presenting commemorative gifts to those who contributed to the success of the second edition. There is strong optimism that this significant economic event will continue to thrive in Jordan, year after year.
