The 23rd International Exhibition of Agriculture, Livestock, and Agri-industry (SIPSA-FILAHA) opened with the participation of 800 Algerian and international exhibitors.
The opening ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, Youcef Cherfa, who stated in his address that “the significant and high-quality participation in this edition reflects the strong interest of companies, investors, and professionals—both local and international—in Algeria’s agricultural sector, which is experiencing unprecedented momentum thanks to the reforms and incentive measures implemented in recent years.”
The event was attended by members of the government and high-level guests from friendly countries, led by representatives of the Italian Republic, the guest of honor for this edition.
The President of the Algerian Council for Economic Renewal, the Secretary General of the National Union of Algerian Farmers, and the President of the National Chamber of Agriculture, attended this event, a reflection of the significant official interest in this major economic event.
Organized by the company Filaha Innov’, the exhibition ran from May 26 to 29, featuring several specialized pavilions covering agricultural production, farm mechanization, livestock breeding, and food industries. It also included dedicated sections for African start-ups, in a move aimed at promoting innovation and fostering South–South cooperation in the agricultural sector.
This edition recorded a record participation of over 750 national and international exhibitors representing 36 countries, positioning it as an international platform for commercial and technical exchange and a showcase for the latest agricultural technologies worldwide.
The exhibition also featured a series of scientific and technical seminars, addressing strategic topics such as potato seeds, desert agriculture, cereal cultivation, industrial tomatoes, aquaculture, and fruit trees. These sessions brought together experts and specialists from Algeria and abroad to share knowledge and strengthen partnerships among stakeholders in the sector.
