The Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, Mr. Ahmed El Bouari, announced that a total of 58 solidarity-based agriculture projects focused on livestock breeding have been approved so far, with a total investment estimated at around 500 million dirhams. These projects fall within a program aimed at strengthening and redirecting solidarity-based agricultural initiatives toward the livestock sector.
Speaking during a public oral question session at the House of Councillors on Tuesday, the minister explained that these projects are distributed across 39 provinces and 180 rural communes, benefiting more than 25,000 people.
The projects center around the distribution of approximately 37,000 heads of sheep, goats, dairy cattle, and camels. They also involve the provision of fodder, livestock watering equipment, and the creation and outfitting of 99 units for hydroponic barley production.
Additionally, the projects include the establishment of 9 fattening centers and two barns for dairy cows and sheep. They also involve the acquisition
