
Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announces 7 investment opportunities in 4 regions to support agricultural and livestock activities and boost agro-industries

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has announced the launch of seven investment opportunities in the regions of Riyadh, the Eastern Province, the Northern Borders, and Al-Baha. These opportunities aim to enhance cooperation with the private sector, support and sustain agricultural activities in these regions, and achieve self-sufficiency in agricultural and livestock products as well as small-scale agro-industries, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Ministry explained that the opportunities include two projects in Huraymila, Riyadh Region, in the fields of animal feed production and date products. The first project, covering a total area of 56,000 m², involves establishing a processing facility for by-products used in pet food. The deadline for submitting bids is September 14, 2025. The second project, on an area of 42,000 m², is for establishing a processing facility for date products, with the deadline set for September 15, 2025.
In addition, two investment projects are being offered in Al-Ahsa, Eastern Province. The first involves a 150,000 m² facility to process palm residues, with a submission deadline of September 30, 2025. The second project, covering 101,200 m², is for a facility to process agricultural by-products for the collection and treatment of organic fertilizers, with a deadline of October 26, 2026.
The Ministry also stated that opportunities include the establishment of a wool textile processing facility in Arar, Northern Borders Region, on an area of 50,000 m², to support agricultural and livestock activities and contribute to achieving self-sufficiency in small industries. The deadline for this project is September 24, 2025.
Furthermore, an investment opportunity has been launched in Tabuk to establish a fertilizer plant, aimed at collecting and processing agricultural fertilizers and supporting agricultural activities in the region. The project will cover 100,000 m², with a bid submission deadline of September 16, 2025. Another opportunity is available in Al-Mandaq, Al-Baha Region, for the establishment of an agricultural nursery and a fertilizer plant on 83,121 m², with the submission deadline set for September 17, 2025.

This initiative comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts to encourage private sector investment in agricultural and livestock activities, agro-industries, and to leverage the enablers provided to investors in the agricultural sector. It also seeks to develop local content and increase its contribution to the national economy, thereby supporting sustainable development in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
