Saudi Arabia: Ministry of Environment Offers 5 Investment Opportunities to Boost Agricultural, Environmental Activities and Support the Livestock Sector in Riyadh and Makkah

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has announced the launch of five investment opportunities through the “Furas” platform in the Riyadh and Makkah regions. These opportunities aim to strengthen cooperation with the private sector, support agricultural and livestock activities, and contribute to achieving self-sufficiency in red meat, thereby enhancing food security in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
The ministry explained that the announcement includes three investment opportunities in the Makkah region. These include the establishment of an agricultural nursery in Taif Governorate, covering a total area of 6,698 square meters, aimed at cultivating vegetables and crops and contributing to food security. The deadline for applications for this opportunity is June 2, 2026.
Additionally, two opportunities have been offered in the national parks sector in Taif Governorate: the first is Plot No. 6 in Saisad National Park, covering a total area of 200,000 square meters, and the second is Plot No. 7 in the same park, with a total area of 2 million square meters. These projects aim to preserve and develop vegetation cover, as well as support environmental, tourism, and recreational activities in the region. The deadline to apply for both opportunities is June 3, 2026.
The ministry also announced two investment opportunities in Al Zulfi Governorate in the Riyadh region to support the livestock sector and contribute to achieving self-sufficiency in red meat. These include projects for breeding, fattening, and producing red meat: Plot No. (4) with a total area of 50,000 square meters, and Plots No. (1+2) with a total area of 100,000 square meters. The application deadline for both opportunities is June 2, 2026.
